These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the website, booking platform, and related services provided by MEDYACHTS (“we,” “us,” “our,” or “MEDYACHTS”), a yacht charter marketing and booking intermediary based in Cyprus.
By accessing our website, making an inquiry, requesting a quotation, or confirming a booking, you (“you,” “your,” or “Client”) agree to be bound by these Terms.
MEDYACHTS acts primarily as an intermediary connecting clients with independent third-party yacht owners, charter operators, captains, crew providers, and related suppliers.
MEDYACHTS offers:
Yacht charter advertising and marketing services
Booking facilitation for motor yachts, sailing yachts, catamarans, and other vessels
Coordination of day charters and multi-day charter requests
Assistance with customized routes and itineraries in Cyprus and other destinations
Coordination with third-party captains, crew, catering providers, beverage suppliers, entertainment providers, and related suppliers
Concierge-style support before and during bookings where available
Customer support relating to inquiries and reservations
Water sports and recreational equipment coordination where available
Special event hosting arrangements on yachts including birthdays, celebrations, proposals, and private functions
Unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing, MEDYACHTS:
does not own, lease, manage, maintain, crew, insure, or operate yachts listed through the platform;
does not act as the carrier or maritime operator of any vessel;
does not control navigation, safety decisions, weather decisions, staffing, maintenance, or onboard operations.
All yacht charters and related services are supplied by independent third-party yacht owners or operators.
Any charter contract for the yacht service itself is between the Client and the relevant third-party provider, even where MEDYACHTS assists with communication, booking, invoicing, or payment collection.
MEDYACHTS may earn commissions, service fees, referral fees, or booking fees from completed reservations.
All bookings are subject to yacht availability and acceptance by the relevant third-party provider.
A booking is confirmed only when:
written confirmation has been issued;
any required deposit has been received;
any requested identification or booking details have been supplied.
Certain charters may require signed charter agreements issued by the relevant provider.
Specific yachts may be subject to additional rules, contracts, security deposits, guest limits, age limits, route restrictions, minimum booking durations, and operator terms.
Where applicable, such provider terms will also apply.
Changes to dates, times, guest numbers, or itinerary are subject to availability and provider approval and may incur extra charges.
Requests made within 7 days of departure may be refused or subject to penalty fees.
Guest count increases beyond legal or stated yacht capacity cannot be accommodated.
Late arrivals may reduce charter time without refund where caused by the Client or guests.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing:
a deposit may be required to secure bookings;
remaining balances must be paid by the stated deadline;
security deposits may be required by providers;
unpaid balances may result in cancellation.
Payments collected by MEDYACHTS may be collected:
on behalf of the relevant provider;
as intermediary / booking agent; or
partly as our own service fee and partly for the provider.
Receiving payment by MEDYACHTS does not make MEDYACHTS the yacht operator.
Additional charges may apply for:
fuel consumption where not included;
catering or beverages;
overtime use;
damages;
marina or port charges;
special requests;
provider-imposed surcharges.
Prices are generally quoted in Euros (EUR) unless stated otherwise. VAT may apply where legally required.
Cancellation terms may depend on the specific yacht provider, season, notice period, and booking type.
Unless different written terms are issued for your booking:
More than 30 days before departure: refund may be available less non-refundable fees and provider charges
15–30 days before departure: partial refund may apply
7–14 days before departure: limited refund may apply
Less than 7 days before departure: refund may not be available
No-show: no refund may apply
Any refund is subject to amounts recoverable from the relevant provider where applicable.
MEDYACHTS is not liable for flights, hotels, transfers, lost opportunities, or other consequential costs.
If a provider cancels, MEDYACHTS may assist in seeking an alternative yacht, rescheduling, or refund subject to provider terms.
The captain and/or yacht operator has final authority regarding:
weather suitability;
sea conditions;
route changes;
delays;
shortened charter duration;
early return;
cancellation for safety reasons.
Weather disruptions may not always entitle the Client to a full refund where partial services were provided or where provider policies differ.
Neither MEDYACHTS nor the provider shall be liable for delays or non-performance caused by events beyond reasonable control, including:
storms or unsafe sea conditions;
natural disasters;
port restrictions;
government actions;
strikes;
public health restrictions;
war, terrorism, civil unrest;
unexpected technical failures.
Clients and guests must:
comply with applicable laws and maritime regulations;
follow captain and crew instructions;
behave respectfully toward crew, staff, other guests, and the marine environment;
avoid dangerous, abusive, or illegal conduct.
The following may also apply depending on provider rules:
no smoking inside cabins or enclosed areas;
smoking only in designated areas;
shoes removed before boarding;
no diving or jumping unless approved by captain;
no illegal substances on board;
no unsafe behavior while intoxicated.
Providers may refuse boarding or terminate charters for serious misconduct, intoxication, safety risks, or illegal activity.
Refunds in such cases may be refused.
Damage caused by a Client or guests may be charged to the Client.
Children are welcome subject to provider approval.
Parents or guardians remain fully responsible for minors at all times.
Children may be required to wear life jackets when on deck or when instructed by the captain.
Swimming and water activities involving minors require adult supervision.
Clients should disclose any relevant health, mobility, pregnancy, allergy, or medical conditions that may affect safety or suitability.
Guests prone to seasickness should take suitable precautions.
Captains may alter routes or return to port in the event of illness, injury, or safety concerns.
Catering, transfers, entertainment, water sports, and other extras may be supplied by third parties.
MEDYACHTS is not responsible for their acts, delays, quality, allergens, or performance, unless directly caused by our own negligence.
Dietary requests and allergy notices should be submitted at least 48 hours in advance where possible.
Outside food or beverages may be subject to provider approval.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, MEDYACHTS shall not be liable for:
acts, omissions, negligence, or misconduct of third-party providers;
yacht condition, maintenance, seaworthiness, licensing, staffing, or insurance;
cancellations by providers;
delays, route changes, or weather disruption;
injury, illness, death, accident, theft, or property damage occurring during a charter unless directly caused by MEDYACHTS’ proven negligence;
inaccurate descriptions, photographs, amenities, or availability supplied by third parties;
indirect or consequential losses.
Where liability cannot legally be excluded, it shall be limited to the amount paid directly to MEDYACHTS for its own services.
Clients are responsible for:
ensuring all guest details are accurate;
ensuring guests are medically fit for the trip;
supervising minors;
complying with provider rules;
paying for damage caused by them or their guests where legally due.
Insurance for the yacht and charter operation is the responsibility of the relevant provider.
MEDYACHTS does not independently guarantee the existence, adequacy, or scope of any provider insurance policy.
Clients are strongly advised to obtain travel, cancellation, accident, and personal belongings insurance.
Any onboard incident should be reported immediately.
Personal data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws, including GDPR where relevant.
We may share booking information with relevant providers where necessary to complete your reservation.
Passport or ID details may be required by providers, port authorities, or applicable law.
Providers or MEDYACHTS may capture photos or videos during charters for operational or promotional purposes.
Clients may request not to be featured in promotional content where reasonably possible.
Commercial filming, influencer shoots, or drone use may require prior written approval and additional fees.
Any issue during the charter should be raised immediately with the captain or provider so they have an opportunity to resolve it.
Written complaints should be sent to MEDYACHTS within 7 days of charter completion.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer rights that may apply under applicable law.
Cyprus courts shall have jurisdiction unless mandatory law requires otherwise.
If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
These Terms, together with booking confirmations, any provider-specific terms, and our Privacy Policy, form the entire agreement relating to use of our services.
